PIZZA! PIZZA! PIZZA!

Recently while babysitting our cousins we made pizza. Here are a few snapshots from our Pizzaria!
Aprons on and they are ready to cook!
Adding the ingredients...
Rolling out the dough..."How are you doing over there, sweetie?"
"Dood!" (interpreted "Good!")
The flour boy
Meditating, or perhaps praying

And when you're all done, you'll find that you are...
MESSY!!
The doughy hands

"PepperOOOni!"
Thanks C. and S. for a fun time!

October...brings back memories

Many years ago, I met my wonderful husband in October. We spent much time going on walks talking about life and what we wanted for our future. God worked in our hearts and drew us closer to Him which then developed a deep love and commiment to each other. I am so blessed to have a man that loves God and washes me with the Word of God.

Blessed is the man

Who walks in your favor

Who loves all your words

And hides them like treasure.

In the darkest place

Of his desperate heart,

They are a light

A strong, sure light.

Taken from Fernando Ortega's song Lord of Eternity

Love you Honey!

One of our family's favorite desserts is Yum Yum. That's right, it is actually called "Yum Yum"! This delicacy is consisted of a nut and butter crust, with a layer of a whipped cream/cream cheese mixture on top of that, followed by a layer of vanilla pudding, and finally topped off with the whipped cream/cream cheese mixture. And if I recall correctly, one of our friends said the following of the dessert :

"I could just see my veins crystalizin' when I ate that!"

Today Something Happened...

An old friend came to visit. This event made us scramble to get the camera- we were so excited! We appreciated this 30 minute visit.

A Quote

We recently came across this quote,
"The following oath became common for Confederate sympathizers:
"Of my own free will and choice, I do hereby in the
Presence of these witnesses swear to be loyal to the South.
When speaking of Yankees, I will refer to them as
Scalawags or Carpetbaggers. And I promise to whistle or
Hum Dixie as a sign of my loyalty and token of my new
Outlook on life.""

Disbelief...

A recent blogger posted (read the post- the strike through is great!) this intriguing news story. You don't hear of this too often. Hopefully when my time comes, Mom and Dad won't get any ideas :)
