October...brings back memories

Many years ago, I met my wonderful husband in October. We spent much time going on walks talking about life and what we wanted for our future. God worked in our hearts and drew us closer to Him which then developed a deep love and commiment to each other. I am so blessed to have a man that loves God and washes me with the Word of God.

Blessed is the man

Who walks in your favor

Who loves all your words

And hides them like treasure.

In the darkest place

Of his desperate heart,

They are a light

A strong, sure light.

Taken from Fernando Ortega's song Lord of Eternity

Love you Honey!

It's great to know that there are examples of Godly couples out there. And that the small groups I'm in are not alone in a longing to serve the Lord.

It was the Hand of God all the way. He used his servants to guide me in this direction. He is so great!

P.S. Not that it makes a long-term difference or anything, but jc is supposed to be in lower-case.

Wow! I just got the RealPlayer to work! I've never heard Fernando Ortega like that! I'm gonna haveta get more of his stuff.

So how'd RP psalm onlyists like you get involed in Fernando Ortega?

Well I have not, I have never heard of the guy let alone what he does. If he is a hymn singer (am I correct?) Then it is fine listing and even singing along with the guy as long as it is not in worship.

Andrew, you and I can debate on this more at the campout tonight. Bring a Bible and so will I. Just out of curiosity, what Bible do you use?

1. I'm Milkdud

2. Yes he is a praise and WORSHIP song singer. So there's a difference between regular life and worship? Should we not always have an attitude of worship as a result of beinging filled by the Spirit Eph. 5:18-19 :)

3. NASB or NKJV

I mean in Corporate Worship. In other words, If a person is at home and feels like singing a hymn to God for praise, go right ahead, but if a person is worshiping with the church, then only Psalms and no hymns or "Worship Songs" may be sung.

Uh... What's the difference?

Which difference, do you mean between Corporate Worship and being at home, or the difference between hymns/worship songs and Psalms.

Let me resate: What difference is given in the Bible between "Corporate Worship" and a home?

In Genesis, when the Israelites built the Tabernacle by God's command, home worship came to an end. Before the Tabernacle, the people of God worshiped God through home worship, with the head of the familey acting as priest, but when the priesthood, and the Tabernacle, and the Holy Days (Passover, Feast of Booths, and the such) came about the people were told to worship God through the Church.

I may not be making very much sense here. I may have to go to Email for this topic. If Milkdud or any one else wishes to argue through Email, please tell me. I can't do too much through this Blog.
