Home Again
Mom and I arrived home Friday afternoon......here are some pictures from our trip:
Early morning sunrise through our dirty window:)
This was the view out our window(I did zoom in a little with the camera)
Mom traveled downtown one day to visit with our former neighbors.
Myself with a dear Sister in the Lord, who happened to have the same sweater as me!!!
Myself with a dear Sister in the Lord, who happened to have the same sweater as me!!!
Two sweet happy ladies, they made Mumsie and I feel right at home. They were affectionately nicknamed Screamer and Squealer:)
A couple of days we ventured out to a local health food store and Starbuck's.
On Thursday night we were treated to ice cream!!!!
The big city at night
All of the students with the teachers
Three of the four teachers
I know I should have taken more pictures, but I was so busy and focused on my learning the technique that I neglected my poor camera :)!!!

Very nice. I've never seen downtown Indy before.
Health food???? Just go for the good stuff! SALAD!!! (Wait, isn't that considered health food?) Throw in a couple hot dogs too! :)
Also, is this my first time being the first to comment? I think so. Not certain. I could go back through the entire history, but I have Eagle research to do. Prolly shouldn'ta even looked here. Oh well...
It is nice you got to learn new violin techniques. I miss you guys allot. Not seeing you for three weeks is horrible. I think I am spoiled.
Bugsbee,
We miss seeing you, too! We have been praying for everyones health, as we heard that Isaac and Bumpas have come down with the "bug" as well. See you this Sabbath, Lord willing!
Love,
~S~
Yup. I'm a casualty. However, I'm thinking that it's a light case. I sure hope I don't end up getting proved wrong! :)
Nice pics! Glad to see you made it home safely. :-)
Speaking of the 'bug', my uncle got REALLY sick last night with that same sort of thing. It was so bad that my aunt said she wouldn't even wish it on Ted Kennedy (that's saying a lot.)
Not to pick a fight or anything, but, SAM, did you really mean Sabbath (as in the Hebrew word meaning 7 also used for the 7th day of the week and the Jewish holy-day which was set aside for rest)? Or did you mean to say The Lord's Day (which is the first day of the week also known as Sunday on which Christians meet to worship and have fellowship following the example of Jesus on the day of His resurrection)? Or was that just a typo? Or do you guys really have something going on Saturdays?
Note: I wouldn't even classify this under e-arguing. It is meant completely for clarification/conversation. Please understand, we don't separate over issues like this, we just like to try to use the most Biblically accurate termenology possible. We don't even separate over differences in escetology (man I butchered that spelling). Come to think of it. I don't think I know what yous guy's excetology is. But that's a whole 'nother conversation. :>)
You know, I could ask quite a few of the elders (mostly pastors) in my presbitary about this question.
This is do to my being at a Presbitary meeting.
I'll explain latter, I'm needed to distribute some reports now.
We have nothing going on Saturday other than listening to OSU football games and preparing food for our meal on the first day of the week, which we refer to as The Lord's Day, Sunday, Christian Sabbath, or for short...SABBATH. Did you know, going back into the original language (greek), that in Matthew 28:1 "...the first day of the week..." is literally, "the first of the Sabbaths". Meaning, the first day of the week is now called the Sabbath.
FYI-E-s-c-h-a-t-o-l-o-g-y , we will let D.H. (Pops) expound on this subject!:0)

Thank you for the spelling lesson. Ya'know, maybe we could talk about this more at the square dance on Tuesday. Are you going?
After more discussion on the subject, we realize that it is more precise "See you this Lord's Day". Thank you for calling this to our attention!
We are having company coming to our house this week, so only if we get our work done before the night of the square dance will we be able to make it!
Ya'know, that sounds suspiciousally like 'I would never even consider going to some sort of a dance with you, but I'm not going to say it to your face (or in this case your computer screen).'
Ha! She's not denying it!
Well, I finally figured out how I can get on here. I just go to Isaac's identity, and, le voilá, je suis ici. I'm here, too.
"Sabbath" is from the Hebrew, shbbt (they didn't and still don't have letters for vowels), pronounced "shab-BAT". It means rest, cessation, hiatus, and suchlike. It has nothing to do with the number seven. That word is shv', or "sha-vu-AH". The two Hebrew words are unrelated.
What Mrs Morton said about the use of the word, originally, is correct. Thus, in the days in which we live, it's entirely legit to use "Sabbath" or "Lord's Day" to refer to the Day of Resurrection weekly. I do not see any Biblical reference to the sun relating to the day, so I hardly ever use the common name. Sounds too much like "fun day", the way too many people use it. There you go.
Milkdud, my advice to you: avoid the thin ice. Her dad is bigger than you. :)
I- thanks.
Mr. P-
So your saying the words tranlated Sabbath in Exodus 20 and Daniel 9 are two completely different words?
Bu bu bi Da bi Daaaa.
Completely and totally forget that last comment. I'm so dumb, it's not really funny.
I was thinking of the word translated 'week' in Dan. 9. DUH!
So back to the point: the question we are talking about is,
Is it called the Sabbath, or the Lord's Day?
Yeah, just forget everything I've said relating to Dan. 9 or seven.
It's not "or". Either one is acceptable Biblically in this New Testament day. "Lord's Day" is not better than "Sabbath". "Sabbath" is not better than "Lord's Day". Both are *much* to be preferred to "Sunday".
This is the Mortons' blog. It is not a theology discussion list, so I think it best that if you or any of the rest of you people on here want to discuss this further that we carry it on by private email. I'll be glad to do so. Remaining Mr Congeniality...
HA!!! I know who jc is! I even have confirmation from this mysterious person. This person's true identity will be a huge surprise to all who read the blog.
WHO!?!? You've gotta tell me! Is it the person we've been suspecting? PLEASE!!! At least, you've gotta tell me tonight. Tell me! Please?
Well jc were you at the square dance?
Milkdud knows who jc is.
Milkdud probbably knows because jc is E.W. and Milkdud forced E.W. to tell him if it was her or not.
I thought Isaac and Bumpas said you guys knew. I mean they said that Bumpas had told you. I've given up trying to hide my identity, and you still think I'm EW. :)
Are you sure you don't know?
Okay....
We know who you are, we were just playing around to make it seem as if we still didn't know. You pulled a good one on us, though! LOL!!
BTW, what does jc stand for?
Yeah, it stands for 'joyful christian'. The reason it's small letters is so it's not confused with Jesus Christ which can be abbreviated as a capitalized version, but I think that's extremely disrespectful so I'm not going to type it.
Sure was fun. Nayway...
Mortons we missed you at church how are you doing?
