Blizzard!

Okay, okay we didn't have the amount of snow like upstate New York but here in the plains we had white out conditions and (this we still have) very deep drifts. Shoveling was just about useless until it stopped snowing and the wind was so cold it wasn't safe to be out for long. Yesterday, however, we had the huge job of shoveling everything out- important items like vehicles and sidewalks. Thankfully, the Lord blessed us with warm sunshine all day so the difficult job was not added to by difficult weather. The following are some shots of our snowfall accumulation.

Can you tell where it has been plowed? Me niether.

The pile of snow behind SAM is now about half way up to the windows of the garage. When we walk down that particular sidewalk it feels as if you are walking in a city of snow because the walls surrounding you are so high. Some walls are so high in fact that they are up to my shoulders.

This drift of snow had to be moved away from the house so that once it started melting we would have a dry basement!

On the right hand side of this photo is Mumsy's boot. You can see how high the snow was before we shoveled.

After a long day of shoveling we had the treat of heading over to the best sledding hill in town. Yes, it may look little to our readers, but it is the best we have got. The snow was perfect and the crowd was small. YeHaw!

The End.

We took a vote and it was agreed by all that your hill was the best for the following reasons...
1. It was longer
2. Faster
3. And we were with our friends!!!!
